The Wyoming Valley Women’s Club will hold a fashion show and scholarship fundraiser on October 26, at the Holiday Inn located at Wilkes-Barre East Mountain. This lively event aims to support the club’s Annual High School Scholarship Award, providing much-needed financial assistance to local students.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., with a luncheon served at 1 p.m.. Pre-admission tickets are priced at $30, which includes both the meal and the fashion show. Attendees can also purchase tickets for a variety of prize baskets donated by local businesses and members of the Women’s Club.

Several local boutiques, including Buka, My Sister’s Closet, Rumor Has It, and Women’s Boutique, will showcase outfits and accessories on the models. The lineup of models includes notable figures such as Gayle Delano Slezak, who serves as both a model and fashion coordinator, along with Colleen Mattey, Cathy Beretski, and Kathleen Handley.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance by contacting co-chairs Romaine Stout at 570-829-3810 or Cindy Mitchell at 570-709-8635. It is important to note that tickets will not be sold at the door, so attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early to avoid disappointment.

This fashion show not only promises an afternoon of entertainment but also serves a greater purpose, reinforcing the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club’s commitment to supporting education within the community.
