UPDATE: A violent shooting occurred on Thursday night on West End Avenue, leaving a driver hospitalized and Nashville Police urgently seeking a white sedan involved in the incident. The victim, a 34-year-old man, was shot while in his vehicle and is currently receiving treatment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Witnesses reported that the suspect vehicle, described as a mid-2010s Kia Optima, made a U-turn before heading inbound on West End, disappearing from the scene without stopping. The shooting unfolded around 9:30 PM when the victim turned onto West End from 23rd Avenue and parked at 2312 West End. As he parked, the white sedan followed him, and a rear-seat passenger reportedly yelled before opening fire, striking the victim in the back.
The injured driver lost control and rear-ended a parked vehicle, prompting immediate medical attention. Authorities confirmed that no private license-plate-reader technology was available in the area to assist with the investigation.
