URGENT UPDATE: The Anaheim Police Department has issued a call for help in identifying two women involved in a string of package thefts from residential porches. This alarming trend has been captured on home surveillance footage at least four times, prompting immediate action from local authorities.
Officials report that the incidents occurred around South and East streets, where the suspects were seen walking up to residences, stealing packages, and leaving the scene on foot. It remains unclear if a vehicle was utilized in these thefts, raising concerns among residents about their safety.
In a recent social media post, investigators described the first suspect as a white woman with curly dark brown or blonde hair. She was seen wearing eyeglasses, an oversized T-shirt, leggings, and slip-on walking shoes. The second suspect is characterized as either a white or Hispanic female with dark curly hair, dressed in a patterned blouse, blue jeans, and running shoes.
“In all four cases, the suspects walk to the residence, steal the packages, and then leave on foot,” investigators stated.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the two women are working together or acting independently, which adds another layer of urgency to the investigation. Residents in the area are advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Anyone who recognizes these women or has information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact Investigator Nelson at the Anaheim Police Department’s Property Crimes Detail by calling 714-765-1906.
