This victory not only snapped Toms River’s two-game losing streak but showcased a dominant display of teamwork and skill.
Nate Danyo was the standout star, scoring two goals and providing an assist, leading Toms River (record now 14-5-1) to a convincing win. Goaltender David Gawalis was impenetrable, stopping all 28 shots from Middletown South, achieving a remarkable shutout.
The action kicked off at 7:15 PM when Danyo netted his first goal just 11:46 into the opening period, expertly assisted by Nico Giannetti and Lucas Rojas. Toms River quickly extended their lead with a power-play goal from John Schmitt at 1:23, with assists from Brady Verdon and Liam Magovern.
