Tamarack Resort in Idaho has commenced construction on a new public marina at Lake Cascade, with plans to celebrate its grand opening on Memorial Day Weekend 2026. This full-service marina aims to enhance recreational opportunities in the area, offering year-round access to various activities on the water.

The marina will feature 100 boat slips available for seasonal rental, on-water fuel services, a retail and rental cabana, and food and beverage options tailored for both resort guests and the surrounding community. In addition to these amenities, visitors can look forward to a dedicated swim area, expanded beaches, and a sand volleyball court. A diverse range of boat rentals will also be available, including stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks, and Hobie-style catamarans.

Project Significance and Future Plans

“This transformative project is the result of a long-term lease with the State of Idaho and approval by the Bureau of Reclamation,” said Scott Turlington, President of Tamarack Resort. “We are proud to deliver a facility that will serve the public, resort residents, and guests for years to come.” This initiative represents a significant milestone for the resort, which has long sought to improve access to Lake Cascade.

The marina will operate as a public facility, adhering to state and federal guidelines. By enhancing existing public access at Poison Creek, the project will bring substantial infrastructure improvements to support boating, swimming, and other lake activities for both local residents and visitors. Details regarding seasonal slip rentals, including pricing and reservation information, will be released in the coming months. Interested boaters and lake users can stay updated by following Tamarack Resort’s announcements online.
