URGENT UPDATE: The 2025 Beacon-News/Courier-News Girls Volleyball All-Area Team has just been announced, showcasing the extraordinary talents of local athletes. Highlighting the team are four standout players from the dominant St. Charles North, who have made headlines with their impressive stats and accolades.

In a stunning performance this season, Haley Burgdorf, a senior outside hitter from St. Charles North, achieved a remarkable 435 kills, alongside 198 digs, 52 aces, and 23 blocks. Her accolades include being named an Under Armor All-American and a two-time DuKane Conference Player of the Year. Burgdorf is committed to play at Penn State.

Also representing St. Charles North is the talented freshman Camryn Boyd from South Elgin, who led her team with 291 kills, 178 digs, 35 aces, and 24 blocks. She has already garnered honorable mention all-state and all-conference honors.

Other notable selections include Rylie Carlson from Newark, who, as a sophomore, amassed 262 kills and 214 digs. She earned first team all-state recognition and has made a significant impact in her conference.

The list continues with Paige Genke from South Elgin, who registered 579 assists this season, bringing her career total to a remarkable 1,536 assists. Genke has been named team MVP and is committed to play at D’Youville.

The All-Area Team also features Hannah Herrick of Oswego, with 326 kills and 256 digs, and Elizabeth King from Hampshire, who reached over 1,000 career kills this season.
