UPDATE: Online entry is officially open for the highly anticipated 2026 SpeedFest, taking place from January 23-24, 2026, at Cordele Motor Speedway. With just one month remaining, racing fans are gearing up for this exciting season opener that promises thrilling competition among the nation’s top short track drivers.

The annual event will feature the ASA Southern Super Series for Super Late Models and the Southern Pro Series for Pro Late Models. Additionally, fans can look forward to action-packed races from INEX Legends and Bandoleros, ensuring a full weekend of high-speed entertainment.

On-track activities kick off with an optional open test day on Thursday, January 22, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Practice and qualifying will occur on Friday, January 23, paving the way for Feature racing, which begins on Saturday, January 24, at 1:00 PM.

Historically, SpeedFest is recognized as the unofficial kickoff to the racing season, with roots dating back to 2005. Initially held at USA International Speedway, the event has evolved over the years, moving to Lanier Speedway and finding its permanent home at Cordele Motor Speedway in 2012. This year’s iteration marks the 21st running of SpeedFest.

Notable past winners include racing legends like Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, and Bubba Pollard, who has dominated the event in recent years, winning the last four races at Cordele. The event has also welcomed the Pro Late Model class since its introduction in 2009, showcasing talents like John Hunter Nemechek and Casey Roderick.
