Lynn Mary Ragozzino, a lifelong resident of Schenectady, New York, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. Known for her resilience and kindness, Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love and support for her family and friends.
Born on August 27, 1960, to the late Michael and Carmela Ruggiero Ragozzino, Lynn graduated from Linton High School and went on to have a fulfilling career as a painter and caregiver. She retired in 2020, dedicating her time to family and community.
Lynn was an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Schenectady, where she found comfort and connection with her faith. Throughout her life, she cherished her close relationships, particularly with her partner, Susan Secor, who predeceased her.
In addition to her parents, Lynn is survived by her brother, Michael Ragozzino, and his wife, Julie. She was a beloved aunt to Rachael and Andrew Ragozzino, who, along with their children, Rhett and AJ, brought her much joy. Lynn’s loyal companion, her dog Gianna, remained by her side throughout her illness, providing her with unwavering support.
Lynn’s family expresses gratitude to the staff at NYOH and the hospice team, as well as friends and relatives, for their compassion and assistance during this challenging time.
Memorial Services to Honor Lynn Ragozzino
In accordance with her wishes, Lynn has been privately cremated. Memorial calling hours are scheduled for September 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, located at 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam. A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m.
Following the service, Lynn will be interred at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, located at 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
