BREAKING: The 2025 WIF Honors ceremony is set to celebrate influential women in film on November 6 at the Beverly Hilton. This year’s event, themed “Unity,” will shine a spotlight on the collective efforts to promote equity, sustainability, and diverse storytelling in the industry.
Among the honorees are Jamie Lee Curtis, Regina King, and Maude Apatow, each recognized for their significant contributions to film and television. The ceremony will be hosted by Atsuko Okatsuka, making it an evening of recognition and inspiration.
The Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film will be presented to Tessa Thompson, Nia DaCosta (honored in absentia), Dede Gardner, and Gabrielle Nadig for their work on the upcoming film Hedda. In the television category, Mara Brock Akil, Judy Blume (honored in absentia), and Regina King will receive the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV for their collaboration on the Netflix series Forever.
In a remarkable acknowledgment, Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award, celebrating her artistic legacy and philanthropic impact. This prestigious award, named after its inaugural recipient, Jane Fonda, highlights Curtis’s enduring influence on and off the screen.
Maude Apatow will also be in the spotlight as she receives the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award, honoring a rising star who embodies both style and grace. This recognition comes shortly after her directorial debut with Poetic License.
