Qatar Airways unveiled its specially branded Boeing 777-300ER at the Paris Air Show, the same aircraft that transported the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) soccer team to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup. The plane’s striking blue livery features the logos of the Champions League and PSG, a team owned by Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund. This display not only highlights Qatar Airways’ status as the world’s best airline, as named by Skytrax, but also showcases its luxurious business class offerings.

The Boeing 777-300ER, measuring over 240 feet in length with a wingspan of 212 feet 7 inches, is one of the largest twin-engine jets globally. It can accommodate up to 354 passengers and has a remarkable range of nearly 8,500 miles, allowing for non-stop flights from major cities like New York to destinations such as Thailand. This particular aircraft had recently transported PSG, which played in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea on June 30, following their victory in the Champions League earlier in May.

Experience Inside the QSuites

The interior of the aircraft boasts the award-winning QSuite business class, which was named the best in the world by Skytrax for the fifth consecutive year. The layout features 42 QSuites that provide a high level of privacy and comfort, with options for groups and families. The unique quad layout allows for privacy dividers that can be lowered, creating an expansive suite-like atmosphere for passengers traveling together.

The QSuites are designed for an exceptional travel experience. Each suite can transform into a fully flat bed measuring 6 feet 7 inches in length. The attention to detail, including luxurious amenities and dedicated service, has positioned Qatar Airways as a leader in the competitive airline industry.

For those traveling in economy, the Boeing 777-300ER offers 312 seats, with a pitch of 31-32 inches, ensuring comfort even in the more affordable class. Notably, some rows provide extra legroom, making them ideal choices for economy travelers seeking a more spacious experience.

Innovative Technology and Connectivity

In addition to its luxurious seating, Qatar Airways has integrated advanced technology into its aircraft. The airline recently announced the completion of the rollout of Starlink WiFi across its Boeing 777 fleet, enhancing connectivity for passengers. The WiFi, powered by Elon Musk’s Starlink, offers impressive speeds, reportedly reaching up to 215 Mbps, which is faster than many home internet connections.

During the Air Show, visitors had the opportunity to tour the aircraft, which attracted significant attention throughout the event. Unlike many other planes on display, guests could board without prior appointments, allowing for a more inclusive experience. A select few were invited to explore the cockpit, where pilots showcased the state-of-the-art controls and capabilities of the aircraft.

As Qatar Airways continues to innovate and elevate the travel experience, its showcase at the Paris Air Show reaffirms its commitment to providing premium service and cutting-edge technology in the aviation industry.
