The Grammy Awards have announced a partnership with Patrón Tequila, designating the brand as the official tequila partner for the 2026 ceremony. This collaboration will debut the awards show’s first official cocktail, named The Golden Record, set to be served during the event on March 14, 2026.

The Golden Record cocktail was crafted in collaboration with Daniel Gonzalez, a mixologist from Mexico City’s Licorería Limantour. It features a blend of Patrón El Alto, which combines Extra Añejo, Añejo, and Reposado tequilas, along with Prosecco, Tio Pepe Fino Sherry, pear cordial, and a touch of bergamot bitters. The drink will also be available at various events leading up to the Grammys, celebrating the intersection of music and mixology.

In a statement, Adam Roth, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Business Development at the Recording Academy, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. He noted, “The Grammy Awards celebrate artistry at the highest level, and Patrón’s uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and quality mirrors that pursuit of excellence.” The Golden Record aims to enhance the celebratory atmosphere of the event, from the red carpet to the backstage experience, and for audiences watching from home.

Patrón Tequila has a well-established presence in modern music, particularly influencing the hip-hop and Latin music scenes. The brand has been referenced by numerous artists, including Miranda Lambert, Lil Jon, and Taylor Swift. Most recently, Hit-Boy and Offset mentioned Patrón in their 2023 track “2live” after visiting the distillery in Jalisco. Additionally, the brand has actively supported artists like Becky G, sponsoring her Mi Casa, Tu Casa tour in 2023, and hosted a dinner for Troye Sivan following his Grammy nominations.

In his remarks, D-J Hageman, Vice President of USA for Patrón Tequila, stated, “We’re honored to kick off our first year as the Official Tequila Partner of the Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards represent the most exciting night in music, and Patrón is proud to be there celebrating alongside the artists who make it extraordinary.”

Alongside The Golden Record, Patrón and Licorería Limantour have developed two additional cocktails for Grammy week: the Patrón High Note and The Clear Winner. The Patrón High Note combines Patrón Silver Tequila with tomato mango purée, Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur, and lime juice, served in a glass rimmed with Maldon salt. The Clear Winner features Patrón Cristalino, Martini & Rossi Bianco, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and Suze Aperitif, finished with lime bitters and garnished with a lemon twist.

As the 2026 Grammy Awards approach, the partnership with Patrón Tequila promises to add a refreshing element to the festivities, celebrating the artistry and craftsmanship of both music and mixology.
