On July 2, 2023, members of the Paradise Elks presented a donation of $2,000 to the Paradise Boys & Girls Club. This contribution, facilitated by a Beacon Elks National Foundation Grant, is aimed at enhancing the club’s summer programming for local youth.

The funds will be directed towards Camp Jamoa, a seven-week summer camp designed for children in grades one through seven. The camp provides a variety of activities, which include meals, snacks, and engaging field trips. It offers a safe and supportive environment for children, particularly those attending Paradise Ridge Elementary School.

Jan Keller and Elliott Peets, representatives from the Paradise Elks, expressed their pride in supporting the Boys & Girls Club. They highlighted the importance of community involvement in fostering a positive atmosphere for children during the summer months.

The donation reflects a commitment from the Elks to contribute to local initiatives that benefit youth and promote healthy development. The Paradise Boys & Girls Club plays a crucial role in the community, offering programs that help children grow and thrive.

In a statement, the Boys & Girls Club acknowledged the significant impact of such contributions, emphasizing how they enhance the quality and accessibility of their summer programs. This partnership underlines the importance of collaboration between local organizations to support the well-being of children in the community.

The Elks’ donation is a testament to the power of community support in enriching the lives of young people. As the summer unfolds, Camp Jamoa is set to provide numerous opportunities for fun and learning, thanks to the generosity of the Paradise Elks.
