On Friday, Ohio State played against the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in what was anticipated to be their most manageable match-up of the weekend. UTSA responded in the bottom of the first inning, narrowing the gap to 2-1.
The game shifted in UTSA’s favor as they scored two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings, ultimately leading to a 6-3 advantage. Although Ohio State attempted a comeback in the ninth inning, scoring two runs, they fell short, concluding the game at 6-5. Relief pitcher Zak Sigman took the loss, marking his record at 1-1 for the season.

Ole Miss built a commanding 3-0 lead by the fifth inning and sealed the victory with a five-run eighth inning, finishing the game with an 8-0 score. Despite a commendable performance with six strikeouts in five innings, starting pitcher Chris Domke suffered the loss, bringing his season record to 1-2.
