Nigo and Nike have collaborated once again to introduce a new pair of Air Force 3 Lows, drawing inspiration from kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery using gold. This release marks the fifth capsule of their partnership, emphasizing the theme of finding beauty in imperfections.

The latest Air Force 3 designs feature two distinct colorways, each showcasing unique elements divided by an uneven gold line. This design mimics the traditional kintsugi technique, which highlights repairs instead of concealing them. Notably, the sneakers come in mismatched pairs, with alternating arrangements of white and ceramic-like halves.

Details of the New Releases

The first colorway includes a gray ceramic finish on the rear of the right shoe and the front of the left. Textured white leather adds to the aesthetic, while the mustaches, lining, and heel stabilizers are intentionally mismatched in black and cream hues. The outsole features a cream finish, contrasted with black and gum applications.

The second variant offers a more natural tan ceramic appearance, enhancing the use of gold on the collar trim, lining, and mustache of the right shoe. Nigo’s creative approach to the Air Force 3 has evolved over time, moving from vibrant primary colors on white sneakers to more conceptual designs, including a tribute to “Planet of the Apes” and the recent incorporation of Levi’s denim.
