A new four-story extended-stay hotel is set to be developed in Hesperia, California, near the Interstate 15 and Main Street interchange. The proposal, identified as project SPR24-00019, aims to construct a 124-room StudioRes by Marriott hotel on a vacant 2.36-acre lot situated on Mariposa Road, approximately 500 feet south of Main Street. The site is strategically located between the existing Courtyard by Marriott and Texas Roadhouse.
During a recent Development Review Committee meeting, city officials evaluated the project submitted by WS California Developer LLC. According to Kelly Brady, the City of Hesperia’s Public Relations Analyst, the StudioRes brand, which was launched by Marriott International in 2023, is designed for extended stays. The hotel will feature rooms equipped with essential amenities, including a small stove, refrigerator, microwave, and sink, catering to guests who may be traveling for long-term business, relocation, or project assignments.
The first StudioRes property opened in Fort Myers, Florida, on June 2, 2025, and Marriott has announced plans for over 40 additional locations by the end of 2027. The Hesperia hotel will follow the StudioRes model, featuring a total building footprint of 55,956 square feet. Accommodations will include communal outdoor spaces, high-speed Wi-Fi, and work-friendly environments that appeal to travelers staying for 20 nights or more.
With the proposed StudioRes hotel, Hesperia’s I-15 corridor continues to attract investment in the hospitality sector. This development adds to the existing lodging options in the area, including the nearby Courtyard by Marriott. While the Development Review Committee discussed the project, no specific timeline for final approval or construction was provided.
As Hesperia expands its hospitality offerings, the community anticipates the potential economic benefits from increased tourism and business travel associated with the new hotel.
