Netflix officially opened the doors to its new venue, Netflix House, at Galleria Dallas on December 11, 2023. This innovative attraction offers fans a unique way to engage with their favorite shows and movies from the streaming giant. Spanning over 100,000 square feet, Netflix House is designed as a permanent exhibit featuring immersive experiences based on popular series such as Wednesday, Squid Game, and Stranger Things.
Dallas is now only the second city in the United States to host a Netflix House, following a similar installation in Philadelphia. Prior to its public opening, Netflix House held a VIP event on December 9, where media, influencers, and local celebrities were given a sneak peek of the venue. Notable attendees included David Harbour and Cara Buono from Stranger Things, as well as stars from other Netflix productions.
Interactive Experiences Await Fans
The venue’s layout features two floors and a grand entrance that welcomes visitors with a stunning staircase adorned with artwork inspired by various Netflix shows. Entry to Netflix House is free; however, the experiential rooms—Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials—require tickets priced at $39 per person. These immersive experiences, each lasting approximately one hour, allow fans to step into the worlds of their favorite series. In the Squid Game room, participants can engage in five different games, including the iconic Red Light, Green Light challenge. Meanwhile, the Stranger Things room invites visitors on a search-and-rescue mission to find three missing characters.
The main area of Netflix House is dominated by Netflix Bites, a restaurant and bar that offers a menu inspired by various Netflix shows. Guests can enjoy dishes like Red Bite and Green Bite chicken bites, Emily’s Italian Fling Salad from Emily in Paris, and a K-Pop themed Huntr/x Power Up Ssam. This culinary experience provides an additional layer of interaction, allowing fans to connect with their favorite shows through food.
Entertainment and Shopping Options
For those seeking more interactive fun, Netflix House features Netflix RePLAY, an arcade area filled with games themed around popular titles. Visitors can participate in a tug-of-war game inspired by Squid Game, navigate a Bridgerton-themed ball maze, and play a Floor Is Lava game.
Additionally, a gift shop stocked with merchandise offers a variety of items, including T-shirts, mugs, keychains, and replica props from beloved Netflix series.
As Netflix continues to expand its offerings, the potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Pictures could further enhance Netflix House. If the deal goes through, fans may see characters and imagery from iconic franchises such as DC Comics and Casablanca integrated into the venue.
Netflix House in Dallas represents a significant step in the company’s strategy to deepen fan engagement through experiential offerings. With its blend of entertainment, dining, and interactive experiences, the venue promises to be a must-visit destination for Netflix aficionados.
