The 16th annual spring consignment event hosted by My Mommy Mart at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Marietta, Ohio, has drawn record crowds from the local community. The event commenced on March 30, 2024, and will continue through April 1, 2024, showcasing a wide variety of items for children and families.
Molly Floding, the founder of My Mommy Mart, expressed her excitement about the turnout this year. “It’s been amazing,” she stated. “We have had the most sales ever. Everybody’s walking out of here with some really great stuff and seeing everyone come out and support the local community.” The event has not only attracted shoppers but has also fostered a sense of community spirit.
Diverse Selection for All Ages
The consignment sale features an extensive range of items suitable for children from newborns to pre-teens. “We have clothing from newborn up to size 14,” Floding noted. “We have tons of toys, lots and lots of books, baby equipment, a little bit of everything, just about anything that you need for kids.” This variety allows families to find needed items at affordable prices.
Local mother Kass McCulty, who attended the event, shared her experience, saying, “A lot of dresses and lots of clothes mostly. Some toys, of course.” Her comments highlight the appeal of the sale, particularly for parents looking for quality items at reduced prices.
Supporting Families and Local Charities
Floding emphasized the significance of this event in helping families manage rising costs. “Having an affordable price for everything really stretches your spending dollar, especially right now with gas prices going up and different things happening,” she explained. The consignment sale provides an economical solution for parents whose children quickly outgrow their belongings.
McCulty echoed Floding’s sentiments, stating, “It’s definitely nice for the weekend, and you don’t have to pay the prices that you would at any major stores. You have a lot of nicer clothes; they’re high quality and at very fair prices.” This sentiment encapsulates the spirit of the event, offering quality options at budget-friendly rates.
In addition to benefiting families, proceeds from ticket sales for the Friday sneak peek event were donated to local charities. Notable recipients included Go-Packs and the Marietta City School System, showcasing My Mommy Mart’s commitment to giving back to the community.
The spring consignment event will conclude on April 1, 2024, with all remaining items discounted by 50% on the final day. For more information about My Mommy Mart and future events, interested parties can visit their official website.
