Motorcycling Santas are set to embark on a festive journey today, traveling from Taunton to the Children’s Hospice South West at Little Bridge House in Fremington. The convoy of riders, adorned in red costumes, will leave Taunton at 10:00 and is expected to arrive at the hospice around 14:30. This annual event aims to raise funds for the hospice, which provides vital support to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
As the riders make their way through the scenic routes, they will be joined by participants from across multiple regions, including Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Dorset, Avon, Gloucestershire, and even further afield. An exciting highlight of the journey includes a stop in the centre of South Molton at midday for a one-hour break. Here, they will participate in the Mayor’s Fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West. The event promises a festive atmosphere with carols, various stalls, and a vibrant Christmas Pannier Market featuring numerous activities.
Additionally, the convoy will make a brief stop at Venn Valley Winery, located near Landkey, at approximately 13:20. This stop not only adds to the festive spirit but also serves as another opportunity for the riders to connect with the community while supporting a noble cause.
