Milton “Huck” Thomas Walker, aged 94, passed away on September 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to family. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Bessie J. Walker. Walker’s life was marked by significant contributions both to his country and his community.

During the Korean War, Walker served in the Air Force, showcasing his commitment to duty. After his military service, he enjoyed a lengthy career as a branch manager for Life of Virginia, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring. His professional life was complemented by a strong sense of community, as he volunteered at his home church, Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Chesapeake.

Walker was also passionate about golf, becoming an avid player and member of the Greenbrier Country Club for several years. His love for the sport was a significant part of his life, allowing him to form lasting friendships and connections within the golfing community.

He is predeceased by his siblings, including his sister Deborah Walker Johnson, his daughter, and great-grandson Orlando J. Reed. He is survived by his granddaughter Stacy Miller, grandson-in-law Jacob Ross, grandson John R. Miller, III, and great-grandchildren Lydia and Eli Ross. The family will cherish his memory and the impact he had on their lives.

A service to celebrate Milton Walker’s life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, located at 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, on October 10, 2025, at 14:00, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Barnes officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of his remarkable life.
