Microsoft has launched a significant update for Windows 11, incorporating advanced AI-powered features designed to enhance user experience across Copilot+ PCs. This update introduces tools that allow users to interact with settings, edit photos, and take screenshots more efficiently.
AI Agent Revolutionizes Settings Management
One of the standout features is the new AI agent integrated into the Windows Settings. This tool enables users to modify system settings simply by describing their requirements. For example, users can input phrases like “change my resolution to 1920×1080” or “connect Bluetooth device,” and the AI will provide actionable recommendations. The AI agent streamlines the process, making it easier for users to navigate customizable settings related to display, connectivity, and accessibility.
Currently, this feature is available exclusively on devices powered by the Snapdragon X Series, with plans for broader compatibility with Intel and AMD systems in the near future. Users can access the AI agent by opening the Settings app, typing their request into the search box, and following the suggestions provided.
Enhancements in Photo Editing and Screenshot Tools
The update also introduces the Relight feature in the Photos app, which aims to give users professional-level control over photo lighting. With this tool, users can place up to three virtual light sources in an image, adjusting their intensity, color, and position using intuitive sliders. In addition, the Snipping Tool has received an upgrade with two new functionalities: the Perfect Screenshot and a Color Picker. Windows 11’s Click to Do feature has also been expanded, providing users with additional tools to simplify daily tasks. This includes functionalities such as the Reading Coach, which helps users improve reading fluency by offering suggestions based on highlighted text. Another feature, Immersive Reader, allows for customizable text display, enhancing reading focus and comprehension.
Additionally, users can draft documents more efficiently in Microsoft Word using the Copilot feature, and perform actions within Microsoft Teams directly from recognized email addresses.
