Michigan Wolverines quarterback Bryce Underwood will be prominently featured in the upcoming Paramount+ docuseries titled “5-STAR.” The eight-part series, which highlights four freshman football stars from the Big Ten Conference, is set to premiere with its first four episodes on December 2, 2025. Underwood will share the spotlight with fellow standout recruits, including Devin Sanchez from Ohio State, Dakorien Moore from Oregon, and Malachi Goodman from Penn State.

The docuseries promises to provide an intimate look at the lives of these young athletes as they embark on their inaugural season in the Big Ten. Underwood, who has quickly risen to prominence, was a standout at Belleville High School, leading his team to consecutive state championships in 2021 and 2022. His impressive high school career earned him accolades like the Gatorade Player of the Year for two consecutive years (2023-24) and the title of Michigan Mr. Football in his senior year.

Initially committed to Louisiana State University (LSU), Underwood switched his allegiance to Michigan late in the 2024 season. So far in the 2025 season, he has been a key player for the Wolverines, starting all ten games and showing impressive statistics. He has completed 61.5% of his passes, throwing for seven touchdowns and five interceptions, while also adding five rushing touchdowns.

The production of “5-STAR” includes involvement from NFL legend and former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady. His media company, Religion of Sports, collaborated with CBS Sports and 101 Studios to bring the series to life. The final four episodes will be available for streaming on December 16, 2025.

As interest in collegiate football continues to grow, “5-STAR” aims to not only entertain viewers but also shed light on the challenges and triumphs faced by young athletes at the start of their careers. The docuseries will be available to stream on Paramount+ starting December 2, allowing fans to follow the journey of these promising football stars.
