In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 22 calls for service. These incidents included a range of issues, such as ten requests for extra patrols, three traffic accidents, and two grass fires. Additionally, deputies managed one motorist assist, a follow-up case, a report of debris in the roadway, and a reckless driver.
The communications center of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office handled 79 calls during this period, including 19 emergency 911 calls. In a notable development, the county jail currently holds 18 subjects, but no new individuals were booked into the facility within the last day.
