Authorities in Lower Moreland Township, Pennsylvania, have arrested a 44-year-old man for allegedly returning to a local bar armed with a machete and a nail gun after being removed for disorderly behavior. The incident took place on the evening of August 2, 2025, when police responded to reports of an altercation at a bar located on the 2800 block of Philmont Avenue.

According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, two individuals were initially asked to leave the premises due to argumentative behavior, which was exacerbated by alcohol consumption. By the time officers arrived, the individuals had already vacated the scene, departing in an SUV.

Return to the Scene

At approximately 11:03 p.m., police received another call about a suspicious person at the same location. The caller indicated that one of the previously removed individuals had returned, reportedly wielding a machete. Officers quickly identified the suspect as Igor Dzhumaev.

Surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts revealed that Dzhumaev was seen opening the trunk of a vehicle before approaching the bar. Witnesses reported that he held what appeared to be a sword-like weapon in one hand and a nail gun in the other. Upon arrival, police took Dzhumaev into custody, during which it appeared he was intoxicated.

Charges Filed

Dzhumaev now faces multiple charges, including two counts of terroristic threats—one with intent to terrorize and another for causing serious public inconvenience. Additional charges include possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness.

As the legal proceedings progress, Dzhumaev is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with local authorities urging anyone with further information to come forward.

This case underscores the serious nature of public safety threats and the swift action taken by law enforcement in response to such incidents. For further updates on this story and other news from Chester County, follow MyChesCo on Google News and MSN.
