URGENT UPDATE: The Macomb County Office of Senior Services is urgently seeking nonprofits and government organizations in need of volunteers for their upcoming Volunteer Recruitment Fair on September 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This critical event coincides with the nationwide Day of Service, honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11 by promoting year-round volunteerism.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for any organization looking for volunteers to showcase their available opportunities,” stated Sheila Cote, director of the Macomb County Office of Senior Services, in a recent news release. Last year’s inaugural event saw a significant turnout, and organizers are hopeful for an even greater response this time.
The fair allows the public to explore various volunteer opportunities and engage with organizations actively seeking help. This is not just a chance to give back, but a meaningful way to honor those who sacrificed so much on that fateful day.
