After completing his education, Louis married his beloved wife, Sheila Burd Goldberg. The couple moved to California, where they raised their family. Louis attended Arizona State University before graduating from the University of Arizona. He later achieved his law degree from South Bay University School of Law. Initially, he worked as an engineer but transitioned into a successful legal career as an attorney, a role he maintained until retirement at the age of 73.

He also had a keen interest in exploring new culinary experiences and cherished moments spent with his family. He is survived by his children: Robert Goldberg and his wife Elaine, Michelle Goldberg Smith and her husband Kevin, and Sheri Goldberg Frazin and her husband Alvin. Louis’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Jennifer Sher and her husband Rabbi Daniel, Steven Smith and his wife Kelby, Amanda Goldberg and her fiancé Zach, Andrew Goldberg and his wife Emily, Rachel Frazin Sofaer, and Sarah Bowens and her husband Brandon. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Levi, Sami, Lily, Rory, and Ari.

A memorial service honoring Louis was held on November 16, 2025, at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life and the impact he had on those around him.
