Several residents from the Hudson Valley area have received promotions within the New York Army National Guard and the New York Air National Guard, recognizing their dedication and service. Promotions in the New York Army National Guard
Among those promoted in the New York Army National Guard is Michael Murashowe from Port Ewen, who advanced to the rank of sergeant while assigned to Bravo Company, National Guard Recruiting & Retention Battalion, on November 13. Raymond Guante of Rosendale earned the rank of private on November 19, also serving with Bravo Company.
Other noteworthy promotions include Tomas Swider of Wallkill, who became a specialist on November 21, while serving with Delta Company, First Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment. Axel Vazquez, also of Wallkill, was promoted to private first class on November 5. Additionally, Jackeline Monroy Lemus from Saugerties and Matthew Montalvo of Hurley both received promotions to the rank of private on November 21 and November 19, respectively.
Advancements in the New York Air National Guard
In the New York Air National Guard, several members of the 105th Airlift Wing were also promoted. Anna Miller of Saugerties and Robert Stanich of Gardiner both achieved the rank of master sergeant on November 1. Isis Podgorskaya from Highland followed suit with a promotion to master sergeant on November 13. Lastly, Zaruma Schmitt of Pine Bush was elevated to staff sergeant on November 1.
