On Saturday, the Toledo Center for Live Arts will feature a unique performance as the local band Chloe and the Steel Strings collaborates with a string quartet from the Toledo Symphony. This special event aims to blend the band’s distinctive sound with classical elements, creating an evening of innovative music.

The six-member band, known for their “Cosmic Americana” style, encompasses a range of genres, including psychedelic folk rock. The lineup features Chloe Ward on lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and mandolin; Connor Ward on bass, harmonies, and guitar; Pete Rodriguez on lead guitar; Eric Stuehr on lead guitar; and Anna Garrison on keys and harmonies. Chloe and the Steel Strings have built a strong local following and are set to perform at the House of Blues in Cleveland on November 28.

The string quartet will include talented musicians such as Merwin Siu and Cheryl Trace on violin, Reed Anderson on viola, and Robert Clemens on cello. Their collaboration is expected to enhance the band’s rich sound with intricate string arrangements.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 19:00 in the Robert Bell Studio at the Toledo Center for Live Arts, located at 4747 Heatherdowns Blvd. Tickets are available through the venue’s website, artstoledo.com, with VIP options that include a pre-show meet and greet, priority seating, drink tickets, and a signed poster.

This innovative collaboration promises to deliver an engaging and memorable musical experience for attendees, showcasing the diverse talents of both the band and the symphony musicians.
