UPDATE: The Jackson Hole Film Festival has just announced the addition of several exciting films for its upcoming event, including the highly anticipated closing night feature, Song Sung Blue, directed by Craig Brewer and starring Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman. This year’s festival, taking place from December 11-14, 2023, in Jackson, Wyoming, promises to be a captivating celebration of film and creativity.
The festival is presented in collaboration with the Hamptons International Film Festival and has been curated by David Nugent, the chief creative officer of the Hamptons festival. The opening film will be The Cycle of Love by Orlando von Einsiedel, who will participate in a post-screening discussion with attendees.
In a notable addition, the festival will feature a screening of the documentary If These Walls Could Rock, which focuses on the iconic Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood. Nikki Sixx, a board member of the Jackson Hole Film Festival and member of Mötley Crüe, will lead an introduction and engage in a conversation with filmmakers Tyler Measom and Craig A. Williams following the screening. The documentary includes interviews with legendary musicians such as Ringo Starr, Slash, Cyndi Lauper, Morrissey, and Dave Grohl.
This year’s festival lineup also includes additional films like Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier and Rebuilding by Max Walker-Silverman, featuring actors Josh O’Connor and Meghann Fahy. These selections join previously announced titles including An Autumn Summer by Jared Isaac, André is an Idiot by Tony Benna, Artists in Residence by Katie Jacobs, Charliebird by Libby Ewing, and others.
