Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has announced its tenth biennial On the Hill (OTH) Legislative Teen Summit, scheduled for September 19–22, 2025, in Washington. Under the theme “Amplifying Our Voices,” the event will bring together nearly 800 teens from across the United States to engage in discussions around legislative advocacy, civic action, and leadership development.
The summit aims to empower young leaders by providing them with opportunities to explore their voices and enhance their leadership skills. National President Darlene Whittington emphasized the significance of youth involvement, stating, “When our children step onto Capitol Hill, they do not come as visitors—they come as visionaries.” This initiative underscores the belief that today’s advocates will become tomorrow’s lawmakers, judges, and presidents.
Participants will take part in a variety of workshops, forums, and cultural events designed to foster civic engagement and community impact. Notable highlights include the State of the Black Family forum, the Teen Moguls JNJ Tank edition, which showcases youth entrepreneurship, and the Legacy Amplified president’s reception.
The summit will culminate in the Jack and Jill Takes the Hill event, where participants will meet with their respective lawmakers to advocate for key issues affecting their communities. This gathering serves both as a celebration of youth leadership and a call to action for future generations.
