UPDATE: The much-anticipated Franklin Sports annual warehouse sale is in full swing, offering shoppers a chance to save up to 80% on sports gear. The sale, which kicked off on November 22, has drawn eager families looking to score unbeatable deals on holiday gifts.
Shoppers are flocking to the Franklin Sports headquarters located at 17 Campanelli Parkway in Stoughton, where items are sold for a fraction of their retail price. Local father John Reardon expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s quite an experience.” He scored an impressive haul for under $200, including a baseball glove, snow tubes, and multiple footballs. Reardon estimates his savings at about $200, highlighting the significant discounts available.
According to company president Adam Franklin, the warehouse sale features thousands of leftover products that are “perfectly good” and available at rock-bottom prices. Shoppers can find deals such as pickleballs for just $1 each and Franklin’s signature batting gloves at half price. Franklin noted, “You come in with a $100 bill, and you’re walking out with a huge Santa bag filled with stuff.”
The warehouse sale has been a staple for Franklin Sports, which has been operating since 1946. Originally started after the closure of their Stoughton store, the sale has become a community favorite, providing affordable sports equipment while supporting local organizations like schools and sports teams.
As the sale continues, customers like Eddie Rivera of Somerset are taking advantage of the discounts to contribute to local community efforts, such as a gift basket distributed to families in need. Rivera shared, “It helps, like, 20-30 families. We just get all the stuff that we can, and it’s obviously cheaper at this time, so it works out better.”
Longtime attendee Leanne Fisher from Braintree has relied on the sale for years to stock up on sports equipment for her school’s holiday bazaar, praising Franklin’s generosity and commitment to the community. “Last year, we spent maybe $1,000, and he just gave us about 20 balls for free because it was for the school,” she recalled.
The warehouse sale is cash-only and will remain open while supplies last, with upcoming dates set for December 6, 13, and 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. For more details or to join the email list, visit the Franklin Sports website.
As shoppers continue to pour in for these incredible deals, the community spirit and significant savings are making this year’s event one to remember. Don’t miss out on your chance to grab fantastic sports gear at unbeatable prices!
