UPDATE: Hideo Kojima has just unveiled a striking new poster for his highly anticipated game, Physint, during the Kojima Productions 10th-anniversary livestream. This PlayStation-exclusive title marks a return to the “tactical espionage action” genre, reminiscent of the iconic Metal Gear Solid series, and fans are buzzing with excitement.

The poster, featuring a deliberately-shrouded protagonist, was revealed alongside key updates about the game’s casting. Kojima confirmed that the casting process was delayed due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, yet he introduced three confirmed cast members who will play pivotal roles in this innovative project.

Among the actors are Don Lee (also known as Ma Dong-Seok), recognized for his roles in Eternals and Train to Busan. Joining him is Charlee Fraser, celebrated for her performance in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Minami Hamabe, known for her role in Godzilla Minus One. This diverse cast promises to bring depth and intrigue to the game.

During the livestream, Kojima elaborated on the game’s unique features, stating, “Physint will be both a game and a movie at the same time.” He emphasized the ambition behind the project, hinting at a level of realism that could blur the lines between gameplay and cinematic experience. “If your mother walks in on you playing this game, she’ll think you’re watching a movie,” he added, showcasing his commitment to immersive storytelling.

While the release date for Physint remains uncertain, it is expected to launch within the next six years. This news comes on the heels of other exciting announcements during the livestream, including three minutes of in-engine footage from another upcoming title, OD, which appears to follow in the footsteps of the acclaimed P.T.

Fans are also eagerly anticipating the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater multiplayer mode, although Konami has confirmed it won’t debut until fall. Additionally, a Death Stranding anime was teased, alongside a quirky Kojima Productions sake.

With a focus on pushing the boundaries of gaming, Kojima Productions continues to captivate audiences worldwide. The 10th-anniversary livestream demonstrated not only the legacy of Kojima but also the exciting future of interactive entertainment.

Stay tuned for more updates as Physint develops, and prepare for a gaming experience that promises to redefine storytelling and gameplay!
