Heidi Klum graces the latest cover of Elle Germany alongside her son, Henry Samuel, marking a significant moment in both their careers. This joint photoshoot, described as their first, was captured by renowned photographer Rankin. The pair discussed their personal journeys, family dynamics, and the changing landscape of the modeling industry during an accompanying interview.

Klum, aged 52, shared her excitement on social media, expressing pride in her son. “Who is this handsome man next to me?” she wrote on Instagram, introducing Henry to her followers. “May I introduce to you my smart, funny, kind, loving son @henryguenthersamuel. I’m so proud of you! I love you, Mom ❤️❤️❤️.” Henry, at 20, is the second-oldest of Klum’s four children, which include daughters Leni, 21, and Lou, 16, as well as son Johan, 19, from her marriage to musician Seal.

On the cover, Klum showcases a fringed mini bag by Aigner, as she has recently become the face of the German brand. She dons a striking feathered dress by Akris and complements her look with a diamond bangle from Bucherer. Henry, dressed in a sophisticated suit by Brunello Cucinelli, adjusts his bow tie, adding a bangle from Tiffany & Co. to his ensemble.

The Elle Germany cover comes as another milestone in Henry’s burgeoning fashion career. Earlier this year, he made his runway debut at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, where he opened the Lena Erziak show in a dramatic backless black suit. Following this, he achieved his first solo magazine cover with Hunger, also photographed by Rankin. Recently, he signed with NEXT Management to further his pursuits in the fashion and entertainment sectors.

Reflecting on her extensive career, which spans over three decades, Klum acknowledged the progress the modeling industry has made toward inclusivity. “Even women in their prime, like myself, can still be on the covers of magazines like Elle,” she stated in her native German. “That wasn’t really possible before. The same goes for curvy or plus-size models. In that respect, a lot has really changed for the better.”

When it comes to imparting wisdom to her son, Klum shared the importance of posture. Henry noted, “To pay attention to my posture. I like video games and used to constantly sit hunched over the computer. But my mother also instilled a lot in me regarding self-confidence.”

This collaboration between mother and son not only highlights their individual talents but also sheds light on the evolving nature of the fashion industry, emphasizing a more inclusive approach than ever before. As both continue to thrive in their respective careers, their shared experiences reflect a deeper bond and mutual support, showcasing the power of family in the competitive world of fashion.
