Google has officially launched its latest artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3, on March 4, 2025, during the opening day of Microsoft Ignite 2025. This new model represents a significant advancement in AI capabilities, offering enhanced performance and accuracy compared to its predecessors and competitors.

Logan Kilpatrick, a representative from Google, highlighted the model’s potential, stating, “Today we are introducing Gemini 3, our most intelligent model that can help bring any idea to life.” The company asserts that Gemini 3 Pro delivers exceptional results across all major AI benchmarks, outpacing the previous Gemini versions. Notably, it excels in coding tasks, surpassing both Gemini 2.5 Pro and other leading models like OpenAI ChatGPT 5.1 and Claude Sonnet 5.

The launch of Gemini 3 is part of Google’s ongoing commitment to AI innovation. The tech giant has recently seen success with its “Nano Banana” image-to-video technology and generative image AI models. With claims of substantial performance improvements, Gemini 3 aims to maintain this upward trajectory in the competitive AI landscape.

Seamless Integration and New Development Tools

Google emphasizes that Gemini 3 Pro is designed for easy integration into existing workflows. The model can “fit right into existing production agent and coding workflows,” enabling new use cases that were previously unattainable.

The model is currently available in preview through the Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI for enterprise users, as well as in Google AI Studio for general users. This accessibility aims to foster widespread adoption and experimentation with the new capabilities.

In conjunction with the launch, Google introduced its Antigravity agentic development platform, showcasing the innovative potential of Gemini 3. This platform resembles a traditional integrated development environment (IDE) but incorporates agentic features for planning and automating tasks. The Antigravity IDE is available for Windows in both x64 and ARM versions, ensuring compatibility across various systems.

As the AI landscape continues to evolve rapidly, Google’s introduction of Gemini 3 positions the company to leverage its technological advancements in both enterprise and consumer markets. With its sophisticated capabilities and user-friendly integration, Gemini 3 is set to redefine how organizations and individuals utilize AI solutions.
