The victory for Gladwin (2-3, 2-1) was highlighted by a spectacular performance from Bronson Bigham, who returned a punt 70 yards for an opening touchdown. Quarterback Colton Pfenninger also shone, completing 5 of 11 passes for 62 yards and rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown. Coach Marc Jarstfer praised his team, stating, “Our offensive line played a really physical and tough brand of football. And the defense was lights-out all night.” Standish-Sterling (0-5, 0-3) struggled significantly, unable to find the end zone for the second time this season.

In Farwell, the team celebrated a long-awaited 20-7 victory over Pinconning, marking their first league win since 2019 and breaking a four-game losing streak against their rivals. Pinconning (1-4, 0-3) struggled to contain Farwell’s T-formation offense, as highlighted by Coach Walter Mulligan‘s comments on their lengthy possessions.
Meanwhile, Harrison unleashed a powerhouse ground game against St. Louis, racking up an astounding 490 rushing yards in a 52-32 victory. Clayten Austin led the charge with 302 yards and three touchdowns, keeping Harrison’s championship hopes alive. The Hornets are now looking to maintain momentum as they aim to dethrone the league-leading Sanford Meridian.
Sanford Meridian (3-2, 3-0) continued their strong campaign, defeating Beaverton 48-28.
