UPDATE: Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI, is set to launch the highly anticipated ENLIGHTEN nighttime light show on November 24, 2025. After a record-breaking debut season that sold 80,000 tickets, officials promise an even more breathtaking experience this year.

“ENLIGHTEN was a blockbuster hit last year, and we are thrilled to bring it back at an even grander scale this year,” said Carol Kendra, chief operating officer at the park. The show will delight visitors during select evenings until January 3, 2026, making it a must-see holiday tradition in West Michigan.

ENLIGHTEN transforms the gardens into a dazzling winter wonderland, featuring a one-mile path illuminated with vibrant colors, synchronized music, and interactive displays. Tickets range from $10 to $20 depending on the date, with non-member tickets priced between $12 and $24. Special pricing is available for groups of ten or more, making it an attractive outing for families and friends.

This year’s event promises to be “brighter, bolder, and more immersive,” showcasing expanded installations and enhanced interactivity. The show is produced by renowned firms Lightswitch and Upstaging, known for their spectacular outdoor displays at various venues, including contributions to performances by artists like Hans Zimmer and Paul McCartney.

Among the exciting new features this year is the Expanded Amphitheater Spectacle. A centerpiece of the event is the installation of Glacial Light by the internationally acclaimed art studio HYBYCOZO. This stunning display of towering geometric sculptures, intricately designed with laser patterns, will transform the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater into a luminous winter cathedral, casting crystalline shadows that captivate the audience.

In addition to the breathtaking visuals, the event will offer Expanded Culinary Experiences. Guests can enjoy festive treats like light-up cotton candy, gourmet s’mores cones, and signature Atucún hot chocolate. For adults, the new Fireball shot ski promises to warm up adventurous spirits amidst the holiday cheer.

For those seeking a unique dining experience, the Kringle Mingle event offers a 21-and-over ticketed dinner featuring a chef-curated menu paired with live music from Molly Bouwsma Schultz and Scott Schultz. Scheduled for November 29, December 13, and December 20, this special evening includes an appearance from Santa and a timed stroll through ENLIGHTEN, making it a perfect holiday outing.
