UPDATE: Florida police are urgently appealing to the public for information following a shocking incident captured on surveillance video that may depict the abduction of a woman in broad daylight. The alarming event occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. on New Year’s Eve outside the Lake Condominium apartment building in Hialeah.

Authorities report that a concerned citizen dialed 911 after witnessing what they believed to be an abduction. The subsequent review of surveillance footage confirmed their suspicions. The video shows a man dressed in all black near a white Ford F-150 as he appears to force the woman into the vehicle. The truck is described as a modified Platinum Edition model with distinctive black rims.

Police believe the incident was not random, suggesting that the man and woman in the footage are known to each other. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-7. The woman, captured in a gray sweatshirt, khaki sweatpants, and black sandals, has not been reported missing as of Thursday, complicating the investigation further.

Residents of the Lake Condominiums expressed shock at the incident. Brian Sanz, the 27-year-old son of the building manager, stated, “I do not recognize the people in the surveillance photos. I have never seen them before.” He described the neighborhood as typically peaceful, saying, “Nothing like this ever goes on here.”

Another resident recalled the terrifying sounds from that morning, stating, “I heard two or three screams… I heard her say ‘no.’ This place has been really quiet for years.” Another neighbor, identified as the woman’s partner, voiced deep concern, saying, “These are not the sort of things we are used to seeing in this community.”

Police have labeled the situation as a “suspicious incident,” emphasizing that their top priority is the woman’s safety. In an official statement, they said, “Our primary concern is the immediate well-being of the female involved. Our detectives are working diligently to locate her as quickly as possible to verify her safety.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the man, woman, or the vehicle to step forward. Tips can be reported directly to Hialeah police at 305-687-2525 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477). Your assistance could be crucial in resolving this urgent case.
