UPDATE: The Florida Gators have just unveiled their stunning championship rings for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, celebrating a thrilling victory over then-top-ranked Houston with a final score of 65-63. The announcement was made on Wednesday, showcasing the Gators’ remarkable journey throughout the season.
In a stunning display of talent, the Gators surged to a 36-4 season record, highlighted by a comeback from a 12-point deficit in the championship game. The rings are adorned with intricate details that pay homage to the team’s rich history, featuring a supersized stone at the top that represents their national championship trophy.
The left side of the ring prominently displays the national championship logo, accompanied by three diamonds symbolizing Florida’s three national titles, including victories in 2006 and 2007. The final score of the championship game is etched below the logo, reinforcing the significance of this hard-fought win.
The Gators’ team motto, “We all can go,” is inscribed on the inner band of the ring, along with a representation of the SEC Championship trophy. This trophy features five stones, marking the program’s five conference titles, with the score of their 86-77 SEC title win over then-No. 8 Tennessee also noted.
Florida’s commitment to its legacy is further displayed with 36 stones around the championship elements, each representing a victory in the 2024-25 season. The inner latch highlights the Gators’ path to the title, detailing scores and opponents defeated, while six orange stones signify the program’s six Final Four appearances.
In a heartfelt gesture, Gators coaches prioritized delivering these rings to former players now in the NBA. On Tuesday, associate head coach Korey McCray presented a ring to Walter Clayton Jr. of the Utah Jazz before his game against the Los Angeles Lakers. “Obviously, my time at Florida helped me get to where I am now,” Clayton shared as he received his ring.
Additionally, assistant coach Taurean Green surprised Alijah Martin of the Toronto Raptors with his ring, while head coach Todd Golden and associate coach Carlin Hartman presented Will Richard with his ring prior to a film session with the Golden State Warriors. Richard expressed his excitement, stating, “Won one of these in college — looking forward to winning one here.”
This unveiling not only marks a monumental achievement for the Florida Gators but also strengthens the bond between past and present athletes. Fans and players alike are buzzing with pride as the team celebrates this remarkable chapter in its storied history.
