The FilmLight Colour Awards celebrated its 2025 winners during a ceremony held at the EnergaCamerimage festival in Poland. In the theatrical feature category, Máté Ternyik received the top award for his outstanding grading on The Brutalist. This competition featured notable entries, including Damien Vandercruyssen for Mickey 17, Adam Glasman for Nosferatu, Kostas Theodosiou for Sinners, and Gareth Spensley for The Phoenician Scheme. Each of these colourists contributed significantly to the visual storytelling of their respective films.
The episodic category saw Peter Doyle take home the award for his work on Disclaimer, the AppleTV thriller directed by Alfonso Cuaron. Other contenders in this category included Jean-Clement Soret for Andor, Tom Poole for Severance, and Damien Vandercruyssen for The Studio. Each nominee exemplified the high standards of colour grading in contemporary television.
The awards also recognized achievements in various entertainment formats. Dante Pasquinelli won the music video category for his work on Bad Bunny’s “NUEVAYoL.” Other shortlisted artists included Valerio Liberatore for “Next Summer,” Jake White for “In the Living Room,” and Sam Howells for “CỨU LẤY ÂM NHẠC.”
In the commercial category, Franziska Heinemann was awarded for Bluff Bounce, “Prologue”, with other nominees such as Tim Masick for Gucci: We Will Always Have London and Mark Gethin for KFC: Obsession.
The Spotlight award went to Connor Bailey for Good Shot, while Marina Starke garnered recognition in the Emerging Talent section for her work on Converse x Daily Paper, “Homecoming”. This category aims to identify and celebrate up-and-coming talent in the field.
