Country singer-songwriter Ella Langley is experiencing a surge in popularity with her latest single, “Choosin’ Texas.” The song debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month and has since climbed to No. 21, positioning it for a potential entry into the Top 20. This ascent highlights Langley’s growing impact in the country music scene.

Collaboration and Creative Process

The track, co-produced by Langley and Ben West, features contributions from notable songwriters Luke Dick, Joybeth Taylor, and Miranda Lambert, who also provides background vocals. Langley reflected on the collaborative process, stating, “I had the amazing opportunity to sit down in a room with Miranda, Luke, and Joybeth on a writing retreat about a year ago.”

During their retreat, the group crafted several songs, but Langley noted that the second one they wrote resonated with her the most. “Miranda, being from Texas, started telling us one of her wild stories about drinkin’ and doing something ridiculous,” Langley recalled. “As soon as I said that, we all just looked at each other like — yep, that’s it! That’s the next song.”

Support from Industry Peers

Lambert praised Langley’s talent, stating, “Ella may have grown up in Alabama, but she has a rowdy, fiery side that us Texas women recognize and respect.” She emphasized the importance of allowing Langley’s artistry to shine through during the entire creative process. “I’m so proud of how ‘Choosin’ Texas’ does that,” Lambert added, expressing excitement for audiences to discover Langley’s music.

Langley made a significant appearance at the 2025 CMA Awards, where she was tied for the most nominations and took home three awards. The event marked the television debut of “Choosin’ Texas,” further solidifying her status as an emerging artist in the country genre. She first performed the track live in February during a show in Texas.

As she continues to build her career, Langley is set to open for several prominent acts in 2026. Fans can secure tickets for her upcoming tour and look forward to more performances of her hit single.

“Choosin’ Texas” is now available for streaming, and audiences are encouraged to listen to the track and experience its lively energy firsthand.
