Cinema Muscle Recreations has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its first customer vehicle, EGA:01, for the project “Eleanor: Gone Again.” This initiative, launched in 2025, aims to produce a limited series of the iconic 1967 Ford Mustang-based ‘Eleanor’ from the cult classic film “Gone in 60 Seconds.” The first customer car not only signifies the beginning of production but will also feature in a promotional first drive video with renowned automotive presenter Henry Catchpole, set to be released on February 18, 2026.
New Mission Statement Highlights Commitment to Quality
CEO Randy Wolff shared an updated mission statement, emphasizing the unique foundations of “Eleanor: Gone Again.” The project distinguishes itself from other Mustang builders by focusing on authenticity and quality. “We started this project to build the highest quality and most authentic Eleanor. As the team who built the original eleven movie cars, and under the guidance of Ray Claridge, we are uniquely equipped to achieve that goal,” said Wolff.
Claridge, founder of Cinema Vehicle Services, played a pivotal role in creating the original Eleanors for the film. He expressed pride in the team’s legacy, stating, “When we built the original Eleanors, we knew we had created something special. Seeing others try to recreate or pay tribute to your original creation is flattering, but those copies are just that, copies.” With the 25th anniversary of “Gone in 60 Seconds” approaching, Claridge believes the time is right to continue this legacy by producing a series of authentic Eleanors.
