Creator Holly Treats, whose real name is Victoria Toplansky, is revolutionizing the dating landscape by documenting her experiences with 48,000 men. Through her intriguing project titled the “Crush Matrix,” Holly seeks to determine whether the ideal partner exists while providing a unique perspective on modern love.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 30-year-old shared her ambitious goal of reaching a total of 50,000 entries within the next year. To achieve this, she must average more than five dates each day. “I have to get a reasonable sample to have accurate data. It is what it is. It’s not pretty all the time to do research,” Holly explained. Her project meticulously tracks each man she dates, including details such as their name, astrological sign, and location, while also noting pros and cons.
Inside the Crush Matrix
Holly began her dating experiment several months ago, using a custom-built compatibility matrix to keep records. Each entry is accompanied by specific criteria, including engaging in a phone conversation or having a private chat at social gatherings. “If I’m getting you on FaceTime, I’m somewhat sexually attracted to you,” she noted, emphasizing the importance of personal interaction.
While navigating through her extensive dating life, Holly has encountered both “very high highs and very low lows.” She recalled a memorable evening in Las Vegas where a date took her to a Michelin-star restaurant, although she humorously admitted forgetting some of the details due to the sheer volume of her experiences. “I just remember the whole vibe,” she said, recalling a shopping trip to Crystals during that outing.
Some dates, however, have proven less successful. One particular incident involved a man who became increasingly rude during dinner before excusing himself to the bathroom, only to fall asleep. “This guy got drunk and was progressively saying ruder and ruder things,” Holly recounted. “He then excused himself to go to the bathroom after we paid the bill and he fell asleep in there.”
Notably, Holly is also dating a few high-profile individuals, whom she has chosen not to include in her documentation to protect their identities. Of the 48,000 entries cataloged thus far, Holly identified fewer than 400 men as “probably ready for marriage” and about 50 who particularly pique her interest.
Lessons Learned in Love
Despite the challenges of her dating marathon, Holly remains optimistic about her experiences, stating, “I would actively talk to the 48,000 [men] again if they sent me a text.” She maintains communication with all the men who made it onto her list, ensuring that they remain engaged in conversation.
Holly’s journey through the dating world has also led to profound personal insights. “I hate to say it, but dating is a numbers game,” she acknowledged. “You just can’t spend too much time with people once you kind of overwhelmingly know it’s not right.” As she continues to build her following—she has amassed over 1.6 million followers on Instagram—Holly Treats exemplifies a modern approach to understanding relationships in a rapidly changing world.
