Mary C. Morrison, aged 84, of Pringle, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. Her family and community mourn the loss of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and registered nurse whose life was marked by a deep commitment to caring for others.
Born on March 14, 1941, in Edwardsville, Mary was the daughter of the late Bernhard and Mary Edwards Keller. She graduated from Edwardsville High School and later earned her nursing degree from the Wyoming Valley School of Nursing. Her professional career as a registered nurse showcased her selfless nature and genuine desire to help those around her.
A Life of Service and Family
Mary was not only dedicated to her profession but also to her family. She was known as the heart of her family, finding immense joy in attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Mary’s love extended beyond her immediate family, as she cherished her role in the community. Her enthusiasm for life was evident in her love for reading and cheering for Penn State football, a shared passion with her husband, Neil Morrison.
Those who knew Mary remember her for her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love. The family expressed gratitude towards her church community for their continuous support. Mary was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where her faith and connection to others played a significant role in her life.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Neil Morrison, and their children: Julie Maloney and her husband Timothy Sr. of Tunkhannock, and Steve Morrison and his wife Antoinette of Sweet Valley. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Timothy Jr. and Anthony (Danielle) Maloney, and Nicholas, Michael, and Monica Morrison. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Peter Keller, and his wife Donna, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Her Memory
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Leila Molitoris. The family expressed special appreciation to Oakridge Healthcare for their kindness and compassion during her stay.
A funeral service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home located at 11 Wilson St., Larksville. The service will be officiated by Pastor Murray Thompson, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until the service starts. Interment will take place at Denison Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Mary C. Morrison’s legacy of compassion, devotion, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
