Donald B. Kreseski, a respected member of the Harding community, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2025, at the age of 42. His sudden death has left a profound impact on those who knew him, as he was not only a devoted husband and son but also a public servant who dedicated his life to his community.

Born on April 25, 1983, in Harding, Kreseski was the son of the late Donald Kreseski, Sr. and Patricia Kreseski. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 2001 and furthered his education at Luzerne County Community College. Kreseski’s commitment to public service was evident throughout his career; he was an Exeter Township Supervisor and a longstanding volunteer firefighter with the Harding Fire Company.

Kreseski dedicated nearly 20 years to the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff, where he earned a reputation for his integrity and compassion. He also worked with Newell Fuel, balancing his professional responsibilities with community engagement.

His warm spirit extended beyond his professional life. Friends and family fondly remember Kreseski as a kind individual who cherished his relationships. He was particularly close to his dog, Zeus, and his horse, Pete, showcasing his love for animals.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Serino Kreseski, his mother, Patricia Kreseski, and his sister, Caroline Kuchinskas. He leaves behind his adored nephew, Carter, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

The community is invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on November 20, 2025, from 16:00 to 19:00 at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, located at 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, November 21, 2025, at 10:30 at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, situated at 2435 Route 92, Falls. Family and friends may gather at the church starting from 09:30 until the service begins. Following the Mass, Kreseski will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
