George Milton Rex, Jr., aged 80, of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was married for 60 years to Carol A. Rex, who survives him. Born on July 10, 1945, in Germansville, he was the son of the late George Milton Rex, Sr. and Joyce E. Rex.
George dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career as a foreman at the Bethlehem Steel Coke Works, where he worked from 1965 until 1998. His commitment to his profession was matched by his dedication to his family and community. A member of Ebenezer Church in New Tripoli, George was known for his warmth and hospitality, often hosting family gatherings and celebrations.
His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love of fishing and hunting, as well as his enthusiasm for various sports. Friends and family remember him as a vibrant personality whose presence will be profoundly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, and their three children: Bryan K. Rex and his wife, Tina, of Allentown, who have two sons, Nathaniel and Zachary; Pamela L. (Rex) Wolf and her husband, Randy, of Fleetwood, who have four daughters, Madison, Autumn, Savannah, and Victoria; and Jennifer A. (Rex) Roberts and her husband, Jason, of Schnecksville, who have two sons, Jacob and Joshua. George is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Rauch of New Tripoli and Melinda Uhl of Allentown, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Snyder, and her husband, Walter, Sr., as well as brothers-in-law David Rauch, Sr., and Bruce Uhl.
Funeral Services and Memorial Contributions
Funeral services for George Milton Rex, Jr. will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., located at 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Pastor Kevin W. Dellicker will officiate the services. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
