David Anthony Gilles, aged 66, passed away surrounded by his family on [insert date of death], leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love. Born on April 27, 1959, in Glendale, California, he was the son of William and Carol Gilles. His educational journey began at Bishop Montgomery High School, followed by studies at community colleges in Torrance, California, and Pasco, Washington.

In 1980, David married Nancy Erd, and together they relocated to Richland, Washington, where they raised four children. David’s professional career started at the Hanford Nuclear Site, where he began as a bus driver. Through hard work and commitment, he advanced through various management roles, ultimately retiring as the Manager of Retrieval Operations at the Tank Farms.

In 2023, David and Nancy moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to enjoy their newly built home. Known for his tireless work ethic and caring nature, David was a provider and a dedicated caregiver for his loved ones. His reserved demeanor often hid a quick wit and a clever sense of humor. Friends and family noted that if he was teasing you, it was a sign of his affection.

David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and their four children: Darlene (Jose) Bejar, Wendy, David (Juliana), and Heather. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, along with his brother, William (Roni).
