Julie Fiesel, a cherished wife and mother, peacefully passed away at her home on September 15, 2023, after a decade-long battle with dementia. She is survived by her husband, Doug Fiesel, her two sons, Chase Fiesel (Sara Tifft) of Minneapolis and Paul Fiesel (Mariah) of St. Paul, along with numerous friends and relatives.

A Life of Service and Connection

Born on September 6, 1960, in New Hope, Minnesota, Julie Fiesel grew up in a supportive community and graduated from Cooper High School. She later attended Bethel College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and met her future husband, Doug.

Julie dedicated around ten years of her career to IBM in Chicago, where she served as a manager. Her passion for politics and her innate ability to connect with others propelled her into roles that had significant community impact. She worked as a congressional aide to former Congressman Gil Gutknecht and later became the Director of Government Affairs at the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.

Throughout her life, Julie was known for her unwavering faith in Jesus and her deep love for her family. Friends recall her ability to forge connections with everyone she encountered, demonstrating kindness and compassion in every interaction.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service will be held in her honor at the Buffalo Covenant Church on September 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with visitation an hour prior. Community members and loved ones are invited to come together to celebrate Julie’s life and legacy.
