Barbara was the devoted wife of the late Barron “Barry” Craig Ott, with whom she shared a profound bond filled with joy and adventure.
She was predeceased by her sons, David Barron and Christopher Vosnick, and is survived by her son, Craig Brian Ott, his wife Kristin Noel Ott, and her beloved grandson, Kyler Craig Ott. Barbara also leaves behind David’s widow, Molly Ott, along with her nieces Leanne Ciscerio and Vickey McClarey Vosnick, and dear cousins Kathy Krause, Mary Slayter, and Nancy Autio.

Barbara’s journey began when she met Barry in San Francisco, California. The couple later settled in Manhattan Beach, where Barbara spent over 65 years of her life. Known for her unwavering commitment to her community, she became an active member of Sandpipers, a philanthropic organization dedicated to giving back. Her volunteer efforts included participating in the annual auction for Bishop Montgomery High School, reflecting her dedication to supporting causes that resonated with her deeply.
Faith played a pivotal role in Barbara’s life. As a devoted parishioner of American Martyrs Church, she regularly attended mass and fostered lasting friendships with fellow worshippers. Her faith was a source of strength and community, guiding her interactions and charitable endeavors.
Passions and Legacy
Beyond her community involvement, Barbara had a passion for travel, particularly to Maui, Hawaii, a destination that held special significance for her. She often shared this love for travel with her family and friends, creating lasting memories during these trips. Barbara was also known for her warmth and hospitality, frequently hosting gatherings that brought people together over good food, laughter, and the excitement of University of Oregon Ducks football games.
