A community will come together to celebrate the life of Mary Lou Spurlock, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 89. The services will be held on December 6, 2025, at Hickory Block United Methodist Church in Union Church, Mississippi. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Johnny Irving, under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service at East Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lorman, Mississippi. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on December 5, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on the day of the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
