URGENT UPDATE: The CNY Diaper Bank is calling on the Liverpool, N.Y. community to make a difference this holiday season by donating to support local families in need. The organization is seeking monetary contributions to provide essential diapers to those facing economic hardships.

Every donation made before January 1, 2026, will be matched up to $5,000 thanks to a grant from the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation, effectively doubling the impact of your generosity.
“Nearly half of families with young children experience diaper need,” stated Michela Hugo, Founder of the CNY Diaper Bank. “When so many families cannot afford their most basic needs, it is a glaring sign that our system must change.”
The urgency of this call for help is underscored by the fact that diapers are not covered by programs like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits. An adequate supply of diapers can cost families around $100 per month, creating a burden that many struggle to manage.
As the largest diaper bank in New York state, the CNY Diaper Bank distributes an average of 200,000 diapers to 4,000 local babies and toddlers each month. Since its inception in May 2016, the organization has provided over 11 million diapers to families in need, showcasing a critical response to diaper need in the community.
“Community members can make a positive impact for families this holiday season by donating to help us provide diapers and prevent diaper need,” Hugo added, emphasizing the vital role of community support during this season of giving.
