CleanSpace is advancing its operations to become a comprehensive cleanroom solutions provider. The company, headquartered in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, has announced a series of executive appointments and service expansions aimed at enhancing its presence in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

New Leadership Appointments for Strategic Growth

In a move to strengthen its leadership, CleanSpace has made several key appointments. In February 2025, Nicholas Vermont was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee company-wide operations and process optimization as the organization scales. Following this, Brian Bennett, formerly the Vice President of Sales, was elevated to Executive Vice President, expanding his role to lead the company’s commercial strategy and long-term market positioning.

Additionally, CleanSpace appointed Robert Griffith as Chief Strategy Officer and Mike Wieffering as Vice President of the CleanShield Division. Griffith brings over 30 years of experience in sterile pharmaceutical facility management and will spearhead strategic growth initiatives for CleanShield. Wieffering, with four decades of expertise in cleanroom project delivery and mechanical systems, will ensure operational execution, compliance, and client service delivery.

Expansion of CleanShield Services and National Footprint

As part of its growth strategy, CleanSpace has opened a new office in Ferndale, Michigan, which will serve as the national headquarters for CleanShield services. The new facility features a client showroom and technical workshop space, supporting an expanded range of post-construction service offerings, including:

  • Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV)
  • Maintenance programs and emergency response
  • Technical documentation and compliance support
  • Workforce development and training programs

This centralization of CleanShield operations positions CleanSpace to deliver faster and more efficient services nationwide, bridging the gap between construction turnover and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) readiness.

In another strategic appointment, Julie Tareco joined CleanSpace as Vice President of Preconstruction in July 2025. With 28 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, Tareco will enhance the company’s capabilities in the earliest phases of project delivery, focusing on estimating, scope development, and value engineering.

Glenn VandeGrift, President of CleanSpace, emphasized the importance of these developments as the company evolves into a partner that supports clients “from concept to commercialization.” With a unified leadership team, expanded service footprint, and enhanced technical expertise, CleanSpace aims to provide integrated solutions that ensure operational readiness and compliance for its clients.

“CleanSpace’s growth is more than operational,” VandeGrift stated. “With our strengthened leadership team, deeper service offering, and expanded footprint, we’re delivering not just facilities—but commercialization certainty.”

With these strategic initiatives, CleanSpace is establishing itself as a national leader in cleanroom design, construction, and post-construction services, setting the stage for ongoing expansion and stronger client partnerships.
